This section of our website is a tribute to Dr. Cunning, the innovator and founder of our office. Since he first began his dental career in 1968, Dr. Cunning has prided himself on revolutionizing the dental industry and developing new, groundbreaking techniques to transform his patient's smiles.

Early Innovations

IV Sedation/Sleep Dentistry

Want proof? Dr. Cunning first began offering IV sedation/sleep dentistry services to his patients in 1971, long before any other office on the West Coast.

Teeth in 1 Day/All on 4 Procedures

Dr. Cunning was also one of the first dentists to offer Teeth in 1 Day/All on 4 procedures in 1972 with the help of Ramus Frame Dental Implants.

If these facts don't convince you, ask your parents or grandparents about quadrant dentistry. Back in the day, dentists only worked on one quadrant of the mouth at a time, not only forcing patients to make multiple trips to the office but also doing them a disservice by failing to treat all of the issues in their mouths.

A Different Philosophy

Dr. Cunning had a different philosophy. He believed in treating patients like family by providing the highest quality experience and care for them. As such, Dr. Cunning made it his mission to revolutionize the traditional dental experience and began offering full-mouth dental services in which all of a patient's needs and concerns were addressed on the same visit.

The Legacy Continues...

It is because of him that this philosophy began to spread and extend to other offices on the West Coast until it became the normal standard in most offices today. It is our pleasure to say that this philosophy remains at the forefront of Cunning Dental Group today.

Our patient's safety and well-being will never be compromised, and all complex surgeries that require patients be put to sleep are performed under the care of a licensed anesthesiologist.

Onsite Specialist Expertise

All products such as Teeth in 1 Day prosthetics are produced through our partnership with an on-site dental laboratory, and these surgeries are performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has performed thousands of surgeries just at Cunning Dental Group alone.
